I guess it would depend on the things that happened to you.
But I would think that it would be understanding that whatever happened was not your fault so don't blame yourself and some point in time you have to accept it and just let it go and if you ever have children make sure you never do the same thing or let that happen to your children take it and turn it around to where your children are completely opposite of what happened to you
I think for different scenarios there's different ways but the major way is to accept it acknowledge it that it happened and then acknowledge it you're letting it go forever and move on with life don't let things hold you back I could tell you some wild stories and what happened to me but it will never ever hold me back.
Can you truly heal? I mean sure the less significant stuff I am sure you can. But even then I am sure it all shapes you to be the person you are today. I don't let any of my childhood events effect me. At least not to the point it makes me end up in a bad place like a bad relationship , on drugs, or in jail.
Watch SpongeBob, courage the cowardly dog, and other things to help heal it. My therapist always let me know that if it makes me happy then I should do it regardless of my age. I am just a big kid with an inner child that needs nurturing. It’s okay to be that as well! So many of us have been through trauma in our childhood especially or just miss the era.
It’s a 1970s British kids TV show. I grew up watching this in the 90s but every time I’m really requiring a pick up, I watch it.
