Someone could be a cheater, etc. and people no longer want to communicate with them, talk shit, etc. but a celebrity, etc. does the same thing and people do mental gymnastics, say everyone does mistakes (true but why don't you give your relatives, friends, etc. the same reasoning?). Speaking from my own point of view, celebrities are nothing special. I've picked them up in my taxi and they get treated the same as everyone else. As far as their status goes, it means sod all to me.

I want to agree with you because I can see you're trying really hard, but not one of my friends or family for that matter would put a celebrity on a pedestal. We would ALL agree, If you do something wrong, then you pay the consequences for it irrespective of who you are.
