Do they have dorms where girls and guys can room together?

I was watching a movie where this occurred.

I don't exactly know I know there's like coed dorms but not the rooms because that would be a huge liability.

I go to a private school and we have dorms, the differences we have buildings there's the guy building and then the girl building. There's the guy building Administration and then girl.

A funny side note to this my brother and I are twins. Those who don't know there could be a same gender Twins and those are the people that look the same. Then there's a boy and a girl twin if I remember correctly they are never supposed to look the same I might be incorrect here I don't know for sure. The reason I mentioned this is I don't know if something messed up during the development stage but he looks like me for some reason and I believe that's supposed to be impossible because I'm a girl and he's a guy.

The administration did a poor job during the interview. They did not properly read our files because we were put in the same dorm room and that's not supposed to happen. When you went to the administration and explain this they felt bad but at the same time they don't know what to do because of how he looks. We're still sharing the same dorm but he gets to use the administration you know stuff for shower and all that.

I like to think they're going to shove him in like a shed somewhere. 😂 one of those crappy camping showers Maybe and a bucket a little sleeping bag. Joking aside I'm actually curious to know what they're going to do.

My kids went to college with coed dorms. Girls and guys were in their own rooms on the same floor, and shared bathrooms... not showers.

One of my sons in college was in a dorm room with two other guys, and one of the guy's girlfriend also roomed with them; she and her boyfriend slept in the same bed. I think the RA looked the other way.

Another son was in a dorm suite at another college, where 4 students each had their own bedroom around a central living area and small kitchen. Guys and girls shared the suite, each with their own bedroom... at least it was like that most of the time. College kids will be college kids, after all.

In my college we have co-ed floors but the dorm rooms are by gender only. If one wants to have an opposite sex as a roommate we need to go off campus. But that does not mean many spend the night with their boyfriends or girlfriends. I have and it is always fun.

I went to college in the 70s and they were experimenting with this kind of stuff to see how far they could push the limits. I think I remember a brief experiment in boys and girls sharing the same rooms but it didn't work out well and was quickly abandoned.

That was definitely not a thing where I went to college, but it wouldn't surprise me if it does happen elsewhere today.

In fact even the off-campus apartment complexes close to the university wouldn't allow it if you weren't married. I assume this was a condition for getting some kind of support from either the university or the state (or both).

At my old state college they had “suites” so there were 4 people in a suite, each with their own room but shared living room bathroom and kitchen. So basically like mini apartments that were co ed.

I went to college in the 90s and there were co-ed dorms. Some even had co-ed bathrooms. My dorm was divided into wings. We had a girls wing and a boys wing.

My partners dorm (called hall here) was co-ed but everyone had their own rooms. There was no shared rooms at all to my knowledge. There was a girls bathroom and guys bathroom on each floor.
