For people that have worked in retail, what is the most annoying song you’ve repeatedly heard in the store you worked at?

I still wanna blow my brains out whenever I hear this song. It was always on at this clothing store I worked at in high school.

The first Max Payne game opens at the scene of a bank robbery, and there's a point early on where you find yourself in front of blaring klaxon, and if you shoot it, Max will thank you.

In my time at a grocery store, you could've walked in, scowled at the speakers blaring "Jingle Bell Rock" and opened up with anything up to a rocket launcher, and I'd've happily opened my register and handed you everything inside. Not because I thought it was a robbery; just out of simple gratitude.

Why I REALLY hate it, beyond the repetitiveness, is that it's easily the LEAST rocking song with "rock" in its name. Even Paul Simon's "Loves me like a rock" is more rocking, and while Paul is a talented musician, he's hardly what I'd call "rocking". I mean, the stores gave us THAT soulless crap when The Kinks' "Father Christmas" existed. Cripes.

I worked at a Mexican restaurant that had a 6-disc CD changer on endless repeat, so I know the feeling. And I had a girlfriend who worked in a higher end tourist shop where they sold a handful of CDs - New Age stuff - and so she had to play those 3 or 4 CDs all the time (they sold 5-10 CDs per day).

It makes you want to tear your own hair out and stab your ear drums with an icepick...
