People, women especially, what part of ghosting don't you get? If you're ghosted, he doesn't like you. Why can't you accept that?

There was a time in society before everything got digitized and all screwed up where ghosting was far less common. Reason being there would be a good chance you would have to interact with the person again and it was in your best interest to give them closure whether you felt like it or not.
It isn’t a “crime” to ghost someone. But really is an extremely shitty thing to do to someone unless they did something fundamentally very wrong (cheating, physical abuse, etc.)
But the risk of being ghosted is driving a further wedge between men and women. Why fully commit to someone when there is an increased risk of this? It’s created more paranoia, distrust and commitment issues in dating.
You can always tell yourself (if you were ghosted) that is shows that the other person is a selfish POS and they are. But for anyone who legitimately had this done to them it’s not fun at all.
Apparently this is a thing. I've talked to a lot of women online and I've never been ghosted by anybody I thought I had an actual relationship with.
I mean I've had times where I might have chatted with someone for a while and then they disappeared. But I didn't care because I really had no relationship with him anyway.
Do people really get so attached to someone that they've never even met that they get all torn up if they stop responding to them? If they do I think they are the ones with the problem not the person that disappeared. It's a big mistake to invest feelings in someone you've never even met. You're asking for trouble.
Love this, exactly I don't understand the investment either. But yes people here are weird like that something is wrong with them
I agree except the last part. If you give someone part of your time, they do owe you the courtesy to let you know that they are no longer interested instead of being a pussy ghoster who leaves without saying anything.
Still, the person should take the hint and not throw away their dignity by texting the person who ghosted them.
They don't owe you shit. Suck it up
You double commenting shows your hurt. suck it up no one owes u shit
U double commented because you're a nut case lol proves further why u get ghosted. Suck it up no one owes u shit
Suck it up, butter cup you were rejected. no one owes u shit
For me, I usually don’t text them more than twice. Missing one text could mean they’re busy or something and just missed the text. Missing two texts, especially if there’s hours between the first and second text, is a clear indication of getting ghosted.
Exactly 🤣 I don't know why the don't accept it
Like it's pretty clear

I honestly am surprised that women cry about being ghosted so much, because I believe they ghost more than men do, and they try to justify their reasons for it more than men. So it's ironic to me that they feel so injured by it happening to them. Maybe it's just what goes around comes around. You get what you give.
🤣🤣 isn't it crazy.
Oh yeah they start a whole "me too movement" and police reports when it's men. I don't like the double standard. I think men should start filing police reports against women like this because its a sign of being mentally unstable
Well, that's a true point. But I think the ultimate thing to do is for the power structure to take away the power from women. And the issue is that MEN run these power structures and allow women to do things that hurt us, because men in power are afraid of women and afraid of making them upset if they ever decide anything/make rules that would mean women have to take some responsibility or not get their way all the time.
I agree…. Though I think ghosting someone is cowardly. But I get if you ask someone to leave you alone and they don’t.
Also…. Some people double text because they thought of something else to say so it’s not always bad. Sometimes someone is just busy at the time.
Some people think they’re ghosted or they’re texting someone at a time they know they’re working or even sleeping and feel entitled to a response. But if someone isn’t responding for days.
Look…. For me personally if someone won’t even give me the time of day. Why would I waste my time on somebody whose ignoring me. There is so many other people out there who would want to talk to me.
I wish I know the answer… My bf’s ex has been pestering him a lot lately, triple texting and even calling him multiple times. He ignored every single one of her calls and texts but she doesn’t seem to get the picture? Blocking doesn’t work either bcs she just finds other ways to contact him and I’m here all like “bruh… give up, don’t you get that he doesn’t want anything to do with you anymore?”
Why hasn't he filed for a restraining order? He can do that because this is harrassment. And why hasn't he just answered and said ," Look, I want nothing to do with you. If you call me again like this, I will file a restraining order. This is harrassment." He needs to stand up to her. In a way she's bullying him too
He could be having sex with her on the side
There’s no such thing as a restraining order in my country 😭 He has said that multiple times and she’ll go “okay I don’t want to start any drama” but then she’ll start texting him again a few days after lol. She also keeps on reposting their old pics together on his insta… I know he’s not being sneaky with her bcs he lets me read his texts and gave me his passcode to everything. My ex is also the same way, still finding ways to contact me. I kept ghosting him and he finally stopped
He can go to the police for harrassment
I’m half expecting her to show up at our place in the middle of the night tbh lol I’ve seen her hanging out in places near his apartment when she lives all the way on the other side of town (2 hours away) 😬
I think in this scenario ghosting is definitely the correct response tho. Any response that she gets from my boyfriend she’ll take it as a green light (even if it’s him telling her to fuck off…)
I don't think what he's doing is the best response. I don't know if you get that either. For her to keep doing this they are secretly hooking up. The fact he hasn't gone to the police is suspicious
It’s true, I had a friend who kept harassing this local celebrity guy (he ended up being gay) and she still didn’t get the message and truly believed he liked her. She even followed his fam online and thought she was friends with them, but they were all laughing at her. Sad.
She's lacking he didn't have her weird ass arrested
The only kind of 'Ghosting' I can understand is when the person who is doing the 'Ghosting' has found out that their SO is cheating on them, and thus have cut that SO out of their life leaving no contact Number, Email, Social Media.
Ghosting is necessary a lot of times. If a man isn't interested in the woman, he refrains from contacting her and answering her text or calls. A lot of these girls assume 1 date equivalent to marriage, texting a guy 10x a day, and stalks him.
I ghost women when I hear something from them which is a clear dealbreaker. I’m looking for a long term partner and they boast how desirable they are because they have slept with a lot of guys.
But once I ghosted someone when I found out they were friends with my ex. So you don’t always have to take it personally.
I don't get ghosting as a whole... I would prefer straightforward fuck off... :D
At what point does it become "ghosting" though? When the other person hasn't spoken to you in a week? A month? A year?
Ok Dreamlife I 99% agree...
But... If you had sex with the person, is one more text appropriate?
Whose fault is that? No one told her to spread her hoe legs to a man that's not committed to her.
Well... I wasn't against commitment... But since she ghosted... It is what it is...
Okay , you're talking about you. I wouldn't have sex with anyone I'm not committed to but since she ghosted just means she's no longer interested. So I'd just move on
Amén... Sad but true ❤️
Yeah, sex is something sacred that is used in a form of a bond a connection. Having sex with someone you're not with can create soul ties. I don't know that's just my perspective I just steer clear of that
I try to as well... But my past behavior is not easy to out run at times. But working on it ❤️
@dreamlife7
I've been asking myself this same question for years.
It's just so weird they'd harrass a man that's not interested
Right? Some people don't respect themselves enough to understand. Just move on.
Seems like correct advice!

What about the men who have been ghosted?
Majority of men know to move on.
It still hurts though. We need to raise awareness of this epidemic!
