You have to be very careful when blowing your nose.
I always used to just blow into the tissue with both nostrils at the same time. THIS INCORRECT!
BLOCK ONE NOSTRIL WITH YOUR FINGER AND BLOW THROUGH THE OPEN ONE.
THEN CHANGE SIDES AND BLOCK THE OTHER ONE AND BLOW THROUGH THE OPEN ONE.
IF YOU BLOW THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, THE MUCUS (SNOT) MY END UP IN YOUR EUSTACHIAN TUBES AND CAUSE A DOUBLE EAR INFECTION THAT HURTS SO BAD YOU WILL SCREAM FROM THE PAIN, HE DIZZY, VOMIT.
THIS HAPPENED TO ME. I IMMEDIATELY HAD TO GO TO AN EAR, NOSE, AND THROAT DOCTOR.
HE PUT ME ON 5 PRESCRIPTION DRUGS, INCLUDING THE ONE FOR VOMITING
I WAS IN BED HELPLESS FOR 10 DAYS AND MISSED WORK FOR 2 WEEKS!
PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU
Really not sure. As an only child, I assume my parents taught me.
I do enlist many different techniques in blowing my nose, but I'll be darned if I can remember where I learned a single one of them.
I especially like the one I use when I'm cutting the lawn and don't have a snotrag handy, where I use a finger to hold one nostril closed and just blast the open one out onto the ground, then change nostrils and repeat.
That one is just plain fun to do!
I think my parents put a tissue under my nose and told me to blow. But before it got to that point I'm sure my parents had been cleaning my nose themselves. So I already understood the general idea. Baby see, baby do - with only minimal prompting.

Mom pinched my nose and said “blow hard.”
Learned myself, but I was never a tissue blower. It always felt uncomfortble and always felt like there was crap still left in my nose after I'm done blowing. I use a sink whenever I get a chance and just hold one side of my nose and blow. It's a much cleaner method. There are times when there was no sink available and I'd use a tissue though.
Wow. That memory was so far up there it stung being recalled. Probably wouldn't have ever stirred it again, gag has done this a couple times. I remember my parents walking me through it. I was really young back in England. It was winter due to the clothes I was wearing.
My parents taught me how to do that, it was at first them holding the tissue and telling me to blow, now it's me holding the tissue blowing my own nose.
My parents taught me, which I assume was probably a frustrating process, having taught my son to blow his nose recently...
Don't pick your nose, from my parents. About 8? I started using a tissue. Now, I think it's gross to pick your nose. Plus with disease, it's best you use a tissue.
I do not remember how I learned. I might have figured it out on my own. I know that the okder kids in the neighborhood showed me how to do a snot rocket
Wow, I hope people don't need a video to know how to blow their nose?
I think I learned to do it by myself. Mostly because breathing is a very strong instinctive response and in order to breathe, I had to learn to blow my nose first. At least under some circumstances like severe allergies.
I don't recall specifically. Probably from watching my parents?
Best question ever asked on here. Haha! I never even thought about this but I guess my parents taught me.
Instinct, Nose is annoying, body moves? I don't know, isn't this the norm?
I don't so much blow it (which is weak and ineffectual) as pick my nose with the tissue.
My mother taught me to blow.
Like everything else you pick up on before school begins for you. Monkey see Monkey do.
Wow really you're reaching for a question today geez
I never had any blowing training :)
I don't remember...
I'm going with the instinctive!
I learned from Mr Bean. 😀
Probably from my parents
