I want to invest in one for my first car. Probably one from the 90s.
I want something that is durable and will last me awhile.

They’re great trucks, built on the same chassis as the F150s so easy to find parts.
Yes they’ll last a long time if you find one in good shape, but when you’re buying something 30+ years old it WILL be constant maintenance
Ok
Should I just buy something modern?
2014 Dodge Journey perhaps?
My parents have one and they got it the year it came out. It runs really good and has survived a lot.
Probably. Old vehicles are great, but you’re gonna have to deal with old car problems.
Personally id avoid anything Chrysler/ Dodge of that era, they weren’t known for good design or quality control
Of which era? The older car era? 😭
For Dodges? Pretty much anything after 2000
also... you could try a Jeep Wrangler... just make sure it is a good one (maintenance and keep up) and that is a 90 to 95'
Those don’t look like they are made to last. 😂
It is giving I am fragile and will break. 🤣
there's good Jeeps from the 90's still standing and going quite well...
but if you want a newer one... get a Rubicon (=

When it comes to old car owners, there is the poor type that drive that shit and drive it into the dirt because they're fucking poor and would rather buy drugs and alcohol than the other type of old car owner...
The other type of old car owner likes the retro look or whatever, and takes care of the vehicle and it works just fine. In many states, if you're in the states, you don't have to get certain inspections and you actually save money in the long run. Thieves aren't looking for your car to send to Mexico.
The 3rd category is somewhere in between.
Personally I like the idea. I'd pimp it out, put in a whole new sound system... insolate it. I'd fix it up real nice. I'm not talking about turning it into a race car or turn it into a ghetto pimp ride like some of the retards I've seen... but I'd make it nice.
I actually did that with a police interceptor I bought for 8k. I ended up trading it for a house. You do the math on that. Meanwhile you have dipshits buying new shit for 60+K and the fucking thing is worth half that as soon as they drive it off the lot.
Also notice these rich fucks that have "graduated from Yale" or whatever on their plates driving really old BMW's like it's brand new. You can tell they can afford a Lexus, but they don't... you think they know something you don't. Real rich people are not trying to 'look' cool like the dumb fucks that rent rims just to look cool and catch HPV from the local ghetto hood rat.
I'm all about it... I say do it. But you will fall into one of the categories I've laid out... decide which you're going to be.
I would not recommend buying something that old unless you do your own work on cars, and know how to buy used cars. If you don't know how to do both, the costs could really add up.
Even if you know what you are doing, buying a used car is a risk. The older the car, the more risk involved. If you don't know how to buy a used car, it's even riskier.
"But will the 90s one last me awhile? Like years… "
Maybe, maybe not. You certainly can't count on it, especially if you drive a lot.
Something like a Bronco will bring a premium. That means you'll pay more than you would for a car that's strictly for transportation.
Okiiii 😭😭😭
The Bronco from the 60s-70s is the iconic Bronco that was made to compete with the Jeep CJ-5. My neighbor's father had one of these. It appeared to have a Mustang power train with the 289 V-8 and floor mounted Automatic transmission. It was a very rugged and versatile vehicle. Like the Jeep it had a removable roof and doors.
The 90s Bronco was supposed to compete with the Chevy K5 Blazer. It had a V-8 and unlike the Chevy's solid front axle it had independent front suspension. I had a Blazer and I knew somebody that had the Bronco. They were pretty similar.
I think that my Chevy Blazer was the best vehicle that I ever owned. It was first in production in 1982 and was renamed the Tahoe in 1994.
Are you sure you want a 30-50 years old vehicle as your first car/daily driver? For me, as a car enthusiast, that would be a project car or maybe even a classic car. I would want a designated garage space for it, where it could stand, disassembled if needed for repairs, for several months.
You should buy a car that gives you no headaches, has good mileage and low maintenance costs. I always suggest Japanese cars.
i'd like a 1970s Eldorado
@IWILLPLEASEYOU Creep.
Those cars look like some woodcutter designed them with axe and a woodblock. Look at Pininfarina car designs from this time, Ford Bronco is just an ugly duckling compared with them.
I would take an original one for the 60s over any of the others.
The garage I worked at had one with a half cab, with the starter motor in the back, a plow, 302 and a 4 speed.
I loved that truck.
Not my thing. Ill take an '87 Grand National in black.
You can’t pull anything with that. 🤡
*Except a lot of beautiful women in spandex and tube tops!
1975 ford bronco 4x4 high boy , pretty tough to beat that and pretty hard to find but they are a beast
If you want a car that won't die, can I suggest the Toyota Hilux? Probably 90's through early 00's is the generation, but I didn't look too deeply
You’ll need to find one completely restored or you’ll just be always fixing something on an old vehicle like that so it’s going to cost you more money than it’s worth unless you just want one and can invest in all that
Unimportant and virtually useless until June 17 1994. Then went back to useless.
So, the 94 one was better?
From the 90s. Good luck finding one that old that even runs.
They were popular, but I've never liked how they look.
The newer Broncos are nicer looking, in my opinion.
Never sold here unless it was under a different name
Earlier gens are classics, but stay away from any made from 80-82. You can probably find a 90s bronco in fairly good condition for a decent price.
I thought that may have been OJs car but i think yours was before that model.
Don't care much about Fords. Henry was a nazi lover.
It has O. J. Simpson written all over it
I don't think anyone can like the 90's
