Should I say yes or no?

I was with one of my close friends in the forest and we were just talking and having laughs when she asks me if i would like to join her in walking barefoot in the forest. I don't know whether i should say yes or no because I don't know why people do that 😭

Don't go barefoot in a forest, ever. Why?

Because forests are full of pathogens left by wildlife such as foxes and the last thing you want is to get an infection from feces left by a fox. You can get yourself such a nasty infection that is very difficult to cure and that will cause you serious and long lasting heath issues.

If you have the slightest wound on the soles of your feet, you risk a bacterial infection that will only make it difficult to detect immediately and you will suffer the consequences perhaps weeks or months later only when those parasites left in the foxes' feces have reached your liver and damaged it seriously.

If you value your health, you should never go barefoot in a forest and not even in your backyard if you live near where foxes are found.

OP, please listen to this advice. Unless your feet are rock solid and hardened from exposure already, you're risking a lot for nothing at all.

Walking barefoot is fundamentally healthy because it helps you keep balance, it can boost your immune system among other benefits. The sole of the foot, just like the palm of your hand is a mirror of your body and trigger point found everywhere on them can boost specific parts of your body.

However, you have to be careful where you place your feet and what you step on.

You will find pets faces on beaches because people take the on beaches and you may step in them on sand as well. Unfortunately dog and cat lovers don’t think of those dangers when they take their pets on beaches.

Oh. Is being barefoot at home feel nice? Because a bunch of my friends dont even care and just walk barefoot around their house because they clean lots, what if i wanted to too? Would that be healthy or ok because I usually have carpet floors in my living room

walking barefoot at home (inside) is okay as long as you have no pets that do their needs on the floor.

Oh i dont thank god, because I usually walk around my house in socks but my friends keep saying its better walking around barefoot since its freeing ig? I don't know i guess i should i start but it depends if its not BAD for you or anything

If you have no pets and your floors are relatively clean, then it is OK to walk barefoot in your house.

it is not quite the same with or without socks. I am sure you will like walking barefoot at home. The surfaces are even and once you got used to it, then go out on uneven surfaces. You will like it. But always bear in mind to look where you put your feet to avoid poop and other possible problem areas.

Well yeah i dont have pets anyways though, and my friends usually walk barefoot at their own home so i wanted to consider if i should do it myself since my friends keep saying how “nice” it is to walk barefoot freely in your home

If you can handle the sharp pointy stuff, then walk barefoot, if you can then say no. Tbh it’s fine walking barefoot but there was things like sharp sticks, pine needles, animal poo etc.

You don’t walk barefoot in the forest you’ll get your feet cut. There’s too many things out there too many sharp objects. And plus snakes. It’s not like walking in the grass why do you think they make strong, heavy duty hiking boots to protect your feet and ankle?
