Why is it that the moon can look so big but be so very far away?

All the planets can fit into the space between the Earth and the moon, yet it still can look like it's only thousands of miles away, instead of 250,000 miles?

It’s an optical illusion and the photos of a huge moon with an aircraft is due to zooming in on the moon.

The moon is the same diameter as the US. It's not that big. It should not look that big in the sky if it is 250,000 miles away.

It looks as big as a cherry hold with your stretched arm. I wouldn't consider it looking big.

It’s an optical illusion because of the amount of light and the angle you’re seeing it at, the moon is closer at times to the earth because of its orbit

the moon orbits the earth in an elliptical orbit. It is closer to the earth at different times.

They're so far. And the distance measured in Light Years not in miles or Kms.
Also, if they're not coming closer than also it's depends on their sizes and their magnetic forces. I guess
