Would you say my friend has ruined his body?

He vaped for a couple years and a couple years he smoked. Would you say he ruined his body. I mean he’s relatively in shape and good fitness and is committed to a healthy lifestyle like me, exercising and heslthier eating.

I remember I was at the library one time and a guy who seemed somewhat disabled talked to me telling me he used to be a druggie who would always smoke weed and it fried his brain but now he was a devout religious person who loved God and he felt so happy to finally have God in his life. He is not the type of man that would attract a woman or a high paying job because his drug use lowered his intelligence, but being religious, he will always find communities that accept him because they share the same religious beliefs.

He ruined his body. He might not smoke or vape now but the effects are still there. I think he should see a doctor to make sure that everything is okay with him.

I don’t think so, I think the effects stay if you’ve done it long term, otherwise the body heals

Probably not. It's short enough that he probably can reverse most if not all the damage he's done to his body.

The signs of ruin would need to be there to say for sure if he has ruined it. If he is healthy, then no. However that he is at risk of ruining his body? Maybe.

If he stays off cigarettes and vapes, his lungs wiill most probably recover fuly in a few years.
