What are some of the things in your opinion that humans get totally wrong about Cats?

I'll start with this one: Don't feed a cat milk:

Cow’s milk isn’t good for cats, and for a number of reasons. The most glaring is that, as cats mature, they often lose the enzyme needed to properly break down milk. These cats are typically referred to as “lactose intolerant,” a condition that occurs in people as well.

When these cats consume milk, it causes a significant amount of gastrointestinal upset that can lead to:

- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Flatulence
- Abdominal pain

Cats know when they're dying and go away to pass away alone.

The myth come from Tiddles wandering off when old or sick and being found dead in a bush a week later. The fact is cats have fantastic regeneration abilities if just allowed to rest up. They're not going away to die, they expect to recover.

That they're very independent and not affectionate. I've never had a cat as a pet but my friends did and I was shocked at how they liked to snuggle and be around people.

yeah its better to think of them like humans in that regard. each cat has a different personality so while some cats maybe not like affection so much other cats crave it lol. mine is the latter!

@DrPepper12 A friend of mine in high school had a huge cat, I called him "The Gentle Giant. He would lay on my lap and I would pet him, as soon as I stopped, he would grab my hand with his paws and put it back on him 🤣 it was the cutest thing!

That if a cat turns its back to you it is ignoring you. While that might be true sometimes, it always means the cat trusts you to not do it harm.

That when a cat is constantly squinting it's eyes at you, it's not an eyesight problem. They're kissing you in a way.

I don't know if I'm 100% right but I heard cats bring people dead animals because they wanna teach them how to hunt, not because they like you and wanna give you food.
