What are some of the things in your opinion that humans get totally wrong about Dogs?

The most obvious thing is that dogs are dogs. I see it all the time. I've lost count of the times I've seen a Cocker Spanial refuse point blank to get out of a river and the owner doesn't get why. The best way to keep a happy dog is to understand that breeds mindset and let it act out it's natural instincts. If Fido wants to root around the undergrowth let him, if rover wants to chase rabbits let him. It's the reason certain breeds shouldn't be kept as pets, if your bred to bite sooner or later you will.

That they are animals not human.

Some dogs must live in an environment suitable for them. They keep large hunting dogs in their house as if they were stuffed animals. These dogs need a large space to expend their energy.

And also they should know what their dog needs and do not just assume it's abuse if you do not like it, or if it feels wrong to you, someone once told me that I was abusing my SIBERIAN HUSKY by leaving it outside during the winter!!! it's a Siberian husky and it is supposed to live outside not inside a house.

Yes dogs are not mute people. They are dogs who have dog behaviors. If you assign people personality and reactions to your pets you are not taking the time to really know your dog.
