IIs this what a COUNTRY BORDER should look like?

These rocks are the border of a portion of the world's longest 2-country border, between the United States and Canada.

For years the border between the US and Canada was like European borders in the Schengen Area, established by the Treaty of Ghent many years ago that prevents the erection of any barriers within 10 feet of the border, allowing movement with minimal border controls, essentially the honor system.

Is this what a border should look like?

Maybe there should be no border at all... if Canada were to become the 51st State. 🙄

I'm thinking of borders between U. S. states. There aren't any fences or anything.
Even in Europe, I've driven from one country to another without any check points.

It's a shame that the U. S./Mexican border has become such a problem. There was a time when people could walk back and forth freely to shop or work.

I heard a long time ago that there's a road that people drive and they make a U turn off the road and it takes you right into Canada. But not everyone knows about this road.

People make it so that we need a physical barrier between our borders if criminals, drugs, trafficker's and illegals weren't pouring into the country we wouldn't need walls fences and armed guards on patrol.

The reason why that line of rocks works as a border is because US citizens don't wanna illegally enter into Canada and Canadians don't want to illegally enter the US. We respect each others borders and if we want to come in we do it the legal way.
