What would you do in this real life situation?

I purchased a handbag 👜 from one of the biggest stores (it starts with a W and ends with a T) and had it delivered to my door.
After the guy delivered it and was already gone, I noticed that the black plastic security monitor was still attached to the bag. 👛 I called the store to have it exchanged for another one because I couldn't get it off myself. The customer care manager said "That's not possible. YOU will have to take it to the store and exchange it or have them take it off". I said "But I don't have a car so I can't do that, that's why I had it delivered". What would you do in this situation?
I'm stuck with the handbag!! 😔

I'd go over her head if possible. If no results, then I'd damn sure find a way to the store. So you don't loose the handbag or your money. They are of course supposed to take those off before shipping. You might have to bite the bullet on this one😔

They drove my handbag from the store and personally delivered it. It came right from the store to me, so he probably grabbed it really quick and didn't bother to check it out before he left the store with it.🙄

A guy delivered it to me at home. It was the manager Adam that refused to help me. As he put it "It's not possible" to bring you another handbag. He told me that I was going to have to drive to the store and deal with it. I told him that I don't have a car and can't go there. He still said that it's not possible to bring me another handbag. Period.

Do a mail order exchange online. I would also find out how to file a complaint about the manager. I hope you get a new bag and enjoy purchase!

As for me I would start rattling chains on this & to be honest if it came in a shipping box it probably has a return label & I would ship it back seeking a refund & put a note in it saying the product is defective because some dummy left the security tag on it & the customer care manager couldn’t help me.

Apparently the delivery guy went out of the back door at the store. If the security device is an ink cartridge. You could have a mess on your hands. If it isn’t. I am sure that I would have a tool to handle removing it. Hopefully you know someone who could do it for you.
Do you have any stores locally that might have a tool that would remove it for you?
