Well, contra is a tough one, I don't remember finishing it, only Super Contra, well Super Probotector, since I had the PAL stuff. Given the challenge presented by games, I understand temptation to cheat. It comes down to how you get pleasure in gaming, I don't fire up Nes games often, but when I do, I play them the old way (no, don't start with Game Genie codes lol), because I find them charmingly frustrating. I don't mind not finishing a tough retro one, so I don't have much incentive to cheat. I don't even cheat for MAME games, even if they are exclusively made to be unfair, I just insert a few coins and leave it as is when game over strikes.
Godspeed.
I used to wiggle the player two remote out just enough that it wasn't connected but looked plugged in to strike out friends in bases loaded hahaha. They'd freak out and be like WTF... WHY WON'T IT SWING!!!
while I'm lobbing in the slowest pitches just to pour salt on a wound. They deserved it I used to convince my 10 year old self n

Cheating in singleplayer games is okay. No shame in that.
One time, I was stuck in a Skyrim Dungeon because of a ‘glitch’ in the script so I had to undo a lot of progress OR clip through the wall…. I was unable to cheat for some reason, though if I were allowed to cheat would’ve saved me the trouble.
Bottomline: No harm in cheating singleplayer
IF You Cheated In Multiplayer, No Respect Left For You!!! Unless you were a kid when it happened and just wanted to have the power high & got it out of your system.
How dare you cheater! I think I only used cheats in Age of Empires but only in single player just because they wrote them in the hand book and it was fun to try out. But otherwise I don't cheat.
If the game is too difficult, it's completely justified.
Is it cheating? Is it?
Two words: Kobayashi Maru
I don't cheat, but if possible I overdrawn jn level games, and restart challenges in other games to dominate
Shame on you. Bad Boy 😅😅
Heheh 😈
It could end up being bad.
