Could be either way. It's possible for you to believe in yourself when no one else does. And it's possible for someone else to believe in you, even if you don't.

The results of this poll is very interesting where most of females are choosing strongly agree while most of males are choosing Agree. But at least both are on same page.

And when I'm thinking why so then one thing i feel could be reason because how society see and treat a female differently than a male. Where a female has to fight more strongly for what she wants to do or to prove her point right than a male has to. Maybe that's is creating such strong emotions in female than male.

I am also "Strongly Agree" with the statement. Because of the fights I'm fighting against everyone, my family and society just only so can I can have my basic freedom to choose the life I want to live. It's sooooo much basic how much I have to go for that now making me to stand against all my families my parents my relatives my society and everyone. Everyone is saying I'm so bad selfish girl while it should be my basic rights on my life how I want to live. And everyone is just waiting when I'll just fail and give up. I have barely only 1 year. Upto next year July to get the control of my life to live as I want to live. Or else they are ready to make me do what they want how they want to control my life. And I'm sooooo nice that still I'm thinking about them to not hurt them emotionally. If i wish i can cut myself off from all of them. But I'm still caring about their "respect" in their "society". And so I want to do it all calmly. End it calmly. But because of this I'm paying all the price since always.

Not most man on agree just many are on strongly agree also but there are very close difference but in females a huge difference in strongly agree options and other options. So that's making huge difference about that I was talking. That why so strong emotions in them for this

I agree but I think these kind of slogans are often very simplified. Most people have some kind of internalized negativity from bad experiences. For some people it can be quick to overcome it for others it can take decades. And then you have to internalize the positive beliefs as well. Just saying believe in yourself it doesn't really help if you're struggling with things that are burried deep inside you. I think these kind of slogans are often used by people who already have a more easy road when it comes to mental health and all it does is make other people feel worse because it makes it sound so simple so why am I struggling with it?

I was never a fan of these kind of statements because it's always a lot more complex so I'd rather spend my time figuring out how to grow than listening to people say things like this.

"Believe in yourself" is the most dangerous peace of advice we give young people. It causes more fatalities than any other slogan and sets them up for a life of bitter disappointment and rejection.

Just because you believe in yourself doesn't mean I have to believe in you. In fact I'm always suspicious of people who ooze self-belief. Remember, your job is to make me believe in you, any idiot can believe in themselves.
