I find this very true due to many don't have as much confidence. And when they don't, the world sees. And steps on their head and makes them their bitch.

I agree, but confidence doesn't have to be smug, conceited, brash or overbearing. Quiet confidence is very attractive.
Quiet confidence refers to the ability to project self-assurance, inner strength and competence without the need for excessive self-promotion.

In trying to come up with examples of men, I thought of the James Bond archetype, stars in TV westerns like Gunsmoke and The Rifleman, Humphrey Bogart in Casa Blanca, Charles Bronson, some Clint Eastwood characters, John Wayne in The Quiet Man. Many others.

For women, I thought of some Lauren Bacall characters, Myrna Loy in The Thin Man movies, Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday. Lots of others. Women who are not physically strong but strong willed and smart.

Actually I've found people generally have more confidence in me than I do. At any rate I get called when they want something fixed.
