Ask him about how things are going in the 1980s cause i always wished i could live in that time

Ask if he could go back to a time in your life where you wished something different happened and try to influence that to actually happen

Actually there is a comparison I can make here that would help illuminate the time travel situation. 1985-1955=30 year difference, so let me plug 2025-30=1995.

Can I imagine myself in the year 1995, a South African Billionaire jumping up and down like a Mexican jumping bean coming out of a fully electric stainless steel Cybertruck with an iPhone, red MAGA hat, and ‘everything’s computer’ type vehicle?
I would obviously be shocked, frightened, and think this person is from a future of 100+ years though question “why no flying car?” lmao.

Like I don't know I feel like this is similar and gets the point across.

1990s - Flip phones, slow internet, Pocket TVs with antennae, fax machines everywhere, CRT TVs, cars on gasoline that all look “the same”, etc.

2025 - Smartphones that retain all of human knowledge also music, tv shows, movies, dictionary, etc. Fast internet, No Analog TV, self driving electric vehicle with panels that showcase everything also no analog plugs of any kind not even an AUX , etc.

I just feel like this adds some thought provoking stuff to the conversation.
I don’t know how I would react other than letting out an audible “what the fuck?” in both scenarios.
