Who’s eaten a bison?

I did eat bison meat once and a whole bunch of other "non standard" meat from all over the world.
In the Seychelles, I did eat some bat meat. It does not taste really good and there is not much to eat on those bones.
Also, I often had some ostrich meat that you can buy locally.
In South Africa, I had the opportunity to sample some crocodile tail meat which was very chewy, as well as impala steak. That meat on the other hand was very tender, albeit full of hair that was not pulled out properly before cooking. It was on a safari in the wilderness. An amazing experience.
But not penis or testicles, right? Wouldn't want to offend your prudish sensibilities
@RedInnocent69 you better believe that I would never look at something as disgusting.
I was given the opportunity in Spain to sample “cojones“. You better believe that I refused and left that place in a hurry. I would not even take something else from the menu card knowing that they use their frying pans to prepare this meat. Needless to say that I never returned to that place ever again.
Food waster!
Never had one.
You shot a bison here, you get in jail. By the amount of cameras in every forest or roads, there is no chance you will go away with it.
I don't think calves and cows taste different than grass feed domesticated cattle. Old bulls aren't usable as meat source anyway.

Cows get often adopted by European bison families

As for bison it looks mouth watering & I can honestly say I have never had it or a bison burger as well. I can totally go for bison back ribs right about now or bison steak.
I’m going to look it up to see if I can get a burger locally or talk to a local butcher.

Maybe your next burger can have a tarantula on it.
Yes, at Ted’ Montana Grill. Ted is Ted Turner the billionaire who created CNN. He owns a lot of land and found that he got a tax break if he had bison on it. Then he created the restaurant so people could eat the bison :D

I have not There was a bison burger outfit in Atlanta, Georgia, but I don’t live there. It was owned by Ted Turner. Tell me what is it like? How was it compared to regular hamburgers?
Not gamey, but much leaner than beef
More like steak than ground beef
Bison meat is slightly sweeter than beef, and easier to chew.
@AviatorTom I would like to try some
A whole one? They are really large. It would take years to eat that much meat.
You could dry it to make pemmican to feed your village over winter
Bison Dele, born Brian Carson Williams, was a NBA centre for about a decade, and was killed aboard a ship by his brother, Miles Debord (born Kevin Williams), July 7,2002, the day after my 49th birthday and two days after Boston Red Sox immortal leftfielder Ted Williams' July 5,2002 passing at age 83. (The former Williamses were sons of 50's R&B super group lead singer/founder Eugene "Tony" Williams;as black men, they weren't related to T).
When I was in India we went to a Tibetan restaurant and I had this meat plate and it had bison meat on it. I ate so much but I couldn't eat all of the meat lol. It was good though.
I've eaten bison burgers and bison sausage. In fact, we cook it at home every once in a while. It's delicious.
I’ve had a bison burger before. It was a while ago at a local restaurant. Just had it as a special for whatever reason.
It was good.
Bison patties are the best. Whenever I go to Montana's that's what I order for my burger. They're softer, more gamey meats
I couldn't eat the whole Bison. But yeah, I've had bison meat many times. It's been in supermarkets in the USA for a long time.
@RedInnocent69 Me,
I have also eaten whale burger
Savage! What kind?
I've had bison burgers. Taste the same as regular ones.
Don’t know. I’ve had a hamburger in Montana. could've been bison. How would I know?
It’s more expensive; you’d know
Bison meat loaf is my usual order at a local restaurant that offers beef and bison meat.
I couldn't eat a whole one, but I think I had a steak once. It was meat.
Had buffalo before, I'd guess it's similar
Often have venison and have had ostrich, wild boar and kangaroo before
Prepared right it is very good.
Done wrong it can be a bit dry.
I've had bison burgers! It reminded me a lot of venison. Beef with a little more gaminess.
It’s been a while, but there wasn’t much difference from eating a regular burger, except it was a little bit more leaner
Henry Cavill eats all of that. I have seen BIG pieces of meat 🥩 that look very unpalatable to me. He is a brave soldier.
An entire bison?
We had what was advertised as bison burgers once. in my opinion I think it was really beef.
I've had a buffalo burger a couple of times but I have not eaten the whole bison
Closed I got was goat.
It my favorite
* not
Stinks to high heaven, actually
oops closest. Our goat had LOTS of BBQ sauce on it- seemed like the dark meat from a pork chop. Had turtle a long time ago- that was like flowery chicken.
