Is there a word or phrase you wish you could stop saying?

It doesn’t bother ME so much, but for others, I wish I didn’t say “fuckin’ “ so much. And not in the usual sense, but as a pause word. I don’t say “uhhh…” or “ummm…” when I’m thinking during speech, I say “fahhhkinnnn’….”😂 Or sometimes I just add it unintentionally, maybe as an amplifier, but really, it’s just unconscious to me. I’m from Boston too, so my accent just adds to how crass it sounds, lmao.
I don’t really care, other than at this phase of my life, I’m starting to interact with people who have children, and I get anxiety around kids because I can’t talk without swearing😅 I don’t really think while I speak, I just flow, as is probably evidenced by my writing style.
I’m usually kind of “take me as I am, I’m not here to conform to anyone else’s standards”, but when it comes to little kids, I don’t want to be that guy.
Basically, I talk like this dude, just less fat and drunk, and with all my teeth still in my mouth, lmfao

The video is hilarious! The guy's use of vulgarity is comical. I used to know a guy from New York who talked somewhat like that, and is just as big. Only he usually had about 2 weeks of "growth" on his face and beady eyes that made him look like a buffalo. LOL
well... lol
I never really say it "real life" I only type here at this site...
Haa, na" and "Yaar"
"Haa" means yes or agreeing with whatever someone just said, but I have a habit of adding 'na' to it.
"Yaar" is something people say when they’re frustrated in my second language (Hindi). It means friend and is especially used between guy friends.
But if I talk about words I frequently use in English, I'd say it's "s**t." It's not a good thing to say when you're in a religious place or attending a meeting and you drop something and go, "Oh, s**t!"
@talka20 It's not a bad word but it doesn't sound good when you're at work. 😅 Also, my mum got so fed up because we would say "yaaaaaaaar" all the time and she tried to stop us but eventually she started saying "yaar" when she was annoyed or frustrated or says it when someone tell her how bad their day went or they miss their flight "Arrey, yaaaar... that is-)
Sounds weird, lol
My close friend (real life friend) just reminded me of few embarassing words and phrases I use but I'll keep it to myself, lol
FML. F*ck my life. I really should stop saying that and be more appreciative that I'm still here and have a really good life compared to many. I may feel down about it sometimes but for the most part, I should be grateful that I'm not homeless or living in a less-developed country.

I am happy with the way I express myself.
Think fast - speak slowly.
I do have a couple of favourite phrases, but I place them with purpose, not by habit.
The one word I'm a little tired of is ''Trump''. But I mean to stop using it by 2029.
In Germany there is a phrase "yes that has sense" and in English you say "yes that makes sense" and in the last ten years they re-translate it into German with "make" sense. And this is very annoying, because you n German there is a sense intrinsic in a truth or in an act or ohrase, it is not produced.
I say "so" a lot, particularly when I finish a sentence, but I think I have more to say or think I haven't made my point.
I can't think of any, but if I realised I was saying a phrase or word too often, I probably would try to stop saying it.
"I don't mean to offend, I just want to be honest." Because I'm scared of people getting offended for no reason.
No but there some that I wish other people would stop saying.
No, if I don't want to say something I don't say it. I have agency.
"Whatever." It is so dismissive of the other person. I picked up the habit in middle school and I dislike it when I use the term.
"That was stupid". The problem is that so many people doing so many stupid things.
Nothing comes to mind, I try not saying the same words or phrases if I catch myself. Oh another way to use shit, is to say “It’s the Shit” when talking about something excellent 😊 you don’t hear that often enough
Yes I say wtf all the time and lately my two necessities have been here so I need to break that cycle lol
Yes there are some , but it's in our indian language so you can't get them.
I'm still struggling not to add the word "basically" into every other sentence.
Sometimes I over use the word crap.
