Do you give a courtesy wave when driving?

When you're driving and someone lets you merge or switch lanes, do you give a "thank you" wave? I always give one, even if I'm not totally sure if the other driver actually let me. I don't get them anywhere near as often as I used to though 😞

If it’s clear that another driver gave me the right of way, always. If i feel like i had to steal it, never.

Yes I do, all the time. Half the time I don't get any when I let them in

When they don't give me a thank you wave i always yell " You're welcome " out my window. Sometimes they hear me and give the wave

Everyone does it around here. It rarely happened in the other countries I have lived in.

Yes, always. Sometimes even if I had the right of way: "thank-you for not being an asshole".
