Have you ever pushed your limits?

I dunno.

• I was a US Army officer for 15 years in a very special role.
• I jumped out of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft constantly.
• I left the Army for a 10 year career in Fortune 100 finance at the corporate level.
• I became the CFO of 2 different companies.
• I left corporate America for 10 years in Private Equity and Hedge Funds.
• I left Private Equity to start my own consulting firm.
• I climb mountains in winter and jump off 800 foot cliffs on skis.
• I've lost both rear tires on a sports car at 145 mph.
• I backpack and climb mountains alone because I have no one to go with.
• I have a wilderness tripping canoe I usually use solo.
• I've broken my nose, fingers, both arms, ribs, and my back.

Is that pushing my limits or simply enjoying life?

LOL, thanks. I may be a little hyperactive with a large adrenaline addiction. And curiosity is probably gonna kill me. However...

In my defense, when you jump out of an aircraft from 10,000 feet, at night, over a mountain range that may be shrouded in fog, or a into a jungle canopy, life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. And often the locals are not very welcoming to uninvited guests.

I would love someone to go backpacking or skiing with. Everyone I know quit at least 20 years ago. Or they never started. So I kept going alone. Better than not going at all. None of those injuries resulted from backpacking or skiing.

i know the feeling. i hike alone every weekend. but i welcome the solace

when i come across a couple or a group of hikers i get judgy how dare you bring your noise pollution into my quiet lol
