All the way down, even when you flush, you shouldn't flush with the lip open, tests show that the water and stuff splash everywhere at a undetectable way to the naked eye, they used like black lights and a substance poured in the water of the toilet to make it easier to see and detect with the black light, it's goes everywhere

Unless I'm using it, the seat stays fully closed.

I do not understand why anyone leaves it open. Nobody wants to look into a toilet when they walk into the bathroom. You close your cabinets when you're done using them.

You close your fridge, your microwave, and your oven. Why the hell wouldn't you close your toilet when you're finished with it?
