What's the first thing you think when you see the word FREE?

There's something surreal about looking over fields of sunflowers or fields of golden wheat waving in the breeze like a huge golden ocean. The endless great plains, seeing fireflies everywhere or going outside of town and seeing a truly spectacular night sky since Kansas has remarkably dark skies so stargazing is quite easy. Even in town you can still see em pretty good. Or even just backroading until you get lost or get to a back road so far away from the main roads that's it's more like barely a path of sand then a road.

I really LOLed when I read Nikki's answer , "It usually signals it is garbage." 'cuz what I thought of was the big FREE sign at our local dump. There's a little shed there where people take/leave things like toasters, tools, etc. Stuff that's still ok but they're just cleaning out the house or whatever. I always say that's where I do my Christmas shopping. (And sometimes it's true 🤣)

When I see the word "free," I instantly think, "No catch—I hope it really is free!" It piques my curiosity and gives me a little rush. I then carefully examine it to see if it seems too good to be true. That mix of excitement and caution always comes to mind.

I usually think if I see a sign saying something for free, there's always some sort of catch.

Just like when I go to a bank to withdraw money from a machine, there's usually a sign saying "Free money".

But I have yet to receive any free money, only my money I've put into the bank. 😄

Free products or food. People say there's nothing that comes free in life but that's nonsense. There are festivals that give away free food all the time. Sometimes someone doesn't want something anymore and puts it outside for anyone to grab and use too. It can apply to furniture or anything really. Sometimes you're given completely new items that people just think to themselves "I won't use this."

I think someone is marketing to morons again and the "free" shipping is baked into the price. Look at the intrinsic value and ask your self if the total price makes sense for you. That is all that matters.
