How many CAR CRASHES have you been in as the DRIVER?

I've been in three car crashes, none of them my fault. In my first one, I was hit by a pregnant teenager on a learners permit who ran a red light, driving illegally without a licensed driver in the car. My second one was a hit-and-run that started to cut me off, then changed their mind and scraped the entire driver side of the car. My third one was an impatient driver coming towards me who got tired of waiting to make his left turn, and t-boned me as I made my left turn.

Two technically but neither were my fault and one wasn't even really in a car to be fair. The first time was when I was first learning to drive. I stopped at a red light and the guy in front of me tried to beat the light. He failed to make it and threw his car in reverse and bumped into our car. No damage, but he didn't bother to even get out and just took off when the light turned green.

The second time was when I was working. I was driving a golf cart and a truck came flying down the lane and hit me head on. It sent me flying out of the cart and into a wall. They had the nerve to get out and tell me that it was OK and they wouldn't sue me! I was livid as was my boss. He tore into them.

My fault 1. Technically 2. The technicality was some idiot in front of me didn’t check and backed into my car. His trailer hitch damaged my front end and even though we went through insurance he never fixed it. And my fault was I hit a car that was parked too close to the corner trying to avoid a pothole that the city hadn’t fixed.

Because he was an idiot and didn’t check his fucking mirrors or other traffic around him to make sure it was safe. Just popped it into reverse backed up and hit me. I laid on my horn as did other people so yeah he was an idiot. Even the cops agreed he was an idiot.

@Iron_Man @ Well Geeze - Iron-one', I use that term a lot, although I DO take the responsibility for, things that I have been at fault for. Actually, called myself an idiot for being 'careless' and damaging my beautiful Tesla.

Just 1 but, it wasn't really a crash. It was a rental car and I was on my way to take it back where it belongs and got stuck in traffic just before getting onto the bridge near my house. I've got my foot on the brake pedal but, apparently, not hard enough and the car started to drift forward VERY slowly!! It was so slow, I couldn't even tell it was happening until my bumper kissed the bumper of the car in front of me. I think I was only going something like 1 mile every 8 weeks! So, it didn't even dent anything and the people in the car ahead of me didn't even get out, they just smiled and waved that it was no big deal.

I've driven between a million and 1.5 million miles in my life. I've been in quite a few crashes. I can't even recall how many. Most were not my fault but a few were. Some of them were very minor but some were fairly major in terms of vehicle damage. No serious injuries, though, and no arrests.

I have also been in three and none were my fault. Thankfully none were too serious, and all drivers were insured and none contested their guilt.

One rear ended me when traffic slowed on the freeway. She was on her phone and didn't see me until an instant before she hit me. I wasn't injured but her airbag bruised her face pretty good.

The next was when the car in front of me at a two-way stop pulled out in front of an oncoming car. Her car was hit and spun back around and hit mine. No serious injuries in any of the vehicles.

The most recent was when I was stopped at a red light with a car in front of me. She apparently decided she wanted to turn left instead of going straight. She tried to back up to make room for her to pull into the left turn lane and she didn't know I was behind her. No injuries.

I've been in about 6 but they were all so totally not my fault and all animal related. Only 1 was ever reported to the game warden, (So we could legally take the deer) 3 involved deer running in front of me, 1 of them actually ran into me first. Never did too much damage to the vehicle except for the one where the deer was total roadkill.

Never had an accident as driver.
I had one small damage while parking. I didn't see a 50cm high steel pole and parking sensor didn't notice it too. New bumper for BMW 330e was expensive like a 10yo. Japanese car anyway. Financially it was an accident.

I would say 2-3 crashes. One I lost control on an icy bridge. besides some cuts & bruises I was ok the car was totaled. Two I was on a motorcycle & was run down by a car I never saw coming when I pulled out. That should have ended my life. If you count when a herd of deer ran out and into the front & side of the truck I was driving. I guess you could say I was in 3 accidents where I was driving.

With another car? Never. I have hit standing cars twice (one while backing up on a supermarket's car park, and once my mother's car, also while backing up, as it was standing in the middle of the yard) but never a driving car on a road.

Counting little fender benders at least 5 or 6. I got pinned with the blame on one but I’d argue that, the rest I was either rear ended or already parked

That’s interesting that happened to me, but I was the guy doing the reversing in a huge large truck in a very small compact parking place that was filled every spot

Five. I was a bad boy. Three police chases as well, none of them resulted in wrecks though, but I only got away once. No record though.

9 car crashes but only 1 my fault where I fell asleep at the wheel and awoke upside down , in pain and generally quite bewildered. Good thing I had a Swiss Army knife in the central drivers console or I might not be here to tell the tale.
