When is the last time your intuition or your spider sense, saved you from something?
I pulled into work one morning and there was this van parked in our parking garage. I did not recognize it among all the other employee cars, and ever since I started driving as a teen, my parents had always said do not park near vans especially at night, because someone may be waiting and watching for you to get out and then try to grab you or rob you. So as I pulled in, I looked at this van, and decided to listen to my spider sense, and I ended up backing up and parking 10 cars down.

Fifteen minutes later, I'm in my office, when one of my staffers tells me the parking lot is on fire. I thought he was joking but he really Really REALLY wasn't!!! That same van I'd moved away from, was engulfed in flames which were now licking at the roof of the structure. Everyone was running with fire extinguishers, but we had to pull back when the tires started to explode. Luckily the fire station was like 5 minutes away and with our proximity to the medical center, they were there in seconds. Had I not listened to my parents, to my intuition, my car would have absolutely been destroyed by smoke and flame. The van took out several cars (which all turned out to be those of the nearby construction crew working next door to us, and not my staff), and caused thousands of dollars of damage to the garage which was shut down for 2 weeks while they made repairs to the second level and repaved a couple spots.
