Insecurity created by other men.

The men getting the surgeries want to appeal to women and they think height is the way to do that. They hear about that from other men, and sometimes women will say that their ideal boyfriend/husband is over 6'.

Similar type of deal to why so many women get boob jobs.

Ikr? Like if someone judges you on your height, not worth it. My boyfriend isn't particularly tall. He isn't the 6' that people here claim a guy has to be in order to be "dateable".

The problem is double standards. Both men and women have them.

Examples are that there are men that expect and demand their girlfriend’s have no social media whatsoever all while they have one. Hypocritical

Same with this, there are very short girls that want giant tall men. That however is more deep because I believe the real reason for that is genetic compensation, they face struggles of being short so they subconsciously think “if I date, marry and breed with a tall man, my offspring might end up taller than me, thus will struggle less than me”
