New property manager sits in residential hallway in a small utility room at a desk all day am I wrong to feel intruded?

We live in a 76 boutique apartment bldg and the rent is expensive. It has a keyless entry system with cameras galore. A new management company bought the bldg last year. A new property manager used the main lobby co-working space at a desk his first 3 months. I guess to form a community because previous tenants were complaining new management sucked.

So now the desk is removed. He now sits in a small utility room on a residential floor next to the elevators. You have to walk by every single time you come and go on that floor. The door is open and u can hear him on the phone sometimes. Or he walks i to the gym for private calls because typically noone in there. He is on site 4 full days a week.

I dont like him seeing my coming and goings, I dont want to say high every single freaking day. I can't be the only person on the floor feeling this way. Im looking into moving to another floor or just move when my lease is up. I picked a non dormant bldg for a reason.

Is it just me? I actually dread going to my apartment because I have to see him. Again.

Never-ending. I had 3 visitors over at different times and all said they would NOT like to pass the property manager every single day. So its not me
