I’m creeped out by my new manager?

I met him the other day, and was forced to be with him alone for 30 or so minutes. I was the one making conversation, which he acted like he could care less and only responded with only a few words each time, nothing back to me. I felt like a complete failure after, especially since I have been working for a promotion for so long

It wasn’t until that night (at around 10:30) did I get a follow request on Instagram, from a completely random account that hasn’t posted since 2015. Very basic posts, but as I was looking through likes for mutuals I realized his MAIN account liked them all…which connected the dots of this Instagram account is his stalker account. I asked other coworkers if they got a follow request, nothing.

I feel so disgusted, angry, and creeped out. After making me feel like a complete failure since there was zero engagement in a conversation, he decided to request to follow me on some random account. I have been finding it hard to maintain my professionalism.
Am I overreacting?

You jumped the gun thinking every possible angle that is 100% true. Almost as if you felt type of way and punishing him for it. Not fair to come up with emotions and feelings which has 0 to do with reality and get mad when life doest meet those emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Thats on you!

Please rewire the way you think it's toxic as hell and it'll cause more problems in the future

whatever it is, dont let it effect your professionalism, its best if he doesn't know that you know, having the advantage of your opposition is always good, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, then you'll always have the element of surprise

Block the account and move on. However, keep your eye on him. Document any more creepy behavior and report it to his boss.

Lol, sounds like you are just salty for being turned down for promotion. Women love to throw around the creep word all the time/ He isn't stalking you and he isn't a creep. And he is obvious spot on by not promoting you with your attitude in this question. Have you never thought that you might be the problem.

That's is way out of line, grossly inappropriate. Where are you working?: No public company of any size would tolerate that behavior.
