Looks like I am finally getting a flat for myself through social housing Uk, I've got friends in similar situation helping but anyone got any advice?

Been more than 3 years coming really after declaring homeless. Rent should be paid through benefits thankfully. It's a new build high rise so should be nice inside, haven't yet seen it. Best location I could ask for right in the city across from the bus station, so I can get anywhere easily and look in shops everyday.

Main thing is to remember your getting back on your feet. A permanent home will make it easier to get work plus its better for your mental health.

My advice would be to set up direct debits for your rent and main bills, ideally coming out on pay day

If they were in charge I'd probably got a place two years ago since housing crisis would be solved so not wrong. But I don't vote as none match my ideals and I don't bother with two of the lesser evils.

Nah he's say social security for British citizens is okay, he's just against immigrants really especially those on benefits who can't speak English which my dad has to deal with daily since he works for Uc.
My dad gets a few people who actually want to work, to some who are disabled and can't, to those who don't, to those who don't who aren't even from here and can't be bothered to do anything...
Think I am okay with sending those ones home too.

I don't see why anybody would think that's a good thing to keep around, especially when we have British citizens struggling makes no sense.

He's moving further than I have and I'm older - yet I have no qualms that I'm still under a roof 🏠🏡 I mean, it sure beats a mortgage. I just pay rent. And work 5-6 day weeks. Like every other of you hard slogging bastards 🙂😛
