Need some good advice and what's an good amount I need to save up for an house for rent or an apartment?

I'm 20 still living with my parents. The house I live in is unfit. Basically the house is mold the ceiling, the walls even the floor. I'm really embarrassed how I live😞. And there is hole in the wall that make rodent to come in. I want to live better and be more happy. How much should I save up? I know a lot of things went up but I prefer living in my own house were it's neat and clean.

Contact the utility companies and find out what they charge to turn on service. You'll probably have to pay a deposit if you've never had an account with them before. Also look at your other regular expenses (transportation, insurance, food, upkeep, etc.). Having all these costs would tell you what you need to get into a place, though the monthly cost would drop after your first month.

You don't have to save a lot of money to rent an apartment. Either you can make the rent, or you can't. You might look for someone to share a two-bedroom apartment with you, or look for a group looking for a housemate.
