Do emotional things persuade you more than factual stuff?

I tend to go “emotional” rather than cold hard facts, but I’m working on it.
It is mainly in argument or presenting my opinion and why it is important, I tend to go with emotional reasoning when it should be logical too.
Universal Healthcare is in a lot of countries, in fact America is the outlier where we don’t do that here so clearly we can afford it if every other government found a way to it.
And no it is not a failure since we have the facts to back it up.

I’d typically talk about how it helps people, but we already know that.
The only counter argument is, “it’s too expensive”(while ignoring how much we spend on DHS primarily ICE or how the American consumer is the one paying for Trump’s Tariffs not foreign governments).
I don't think so, but I believe it's generally true.
I agree.
Facts matter, but emotional resonance often drives how we connect, make decisions, and remember ideas.
When something touches us personally, it’s easier to internalize and act on which is why stories and feelings often persuade more than statistics alone.
Somewhat agree depending on the situation. I do sometimes make decisions based on my feelings.
