How smart would you consider yourself to be?

My grandfather and I are the statistical anomalies in our family when it comes to raw intelligence. My grandfather is within the fourth standard deviation, and I’m in the third. My grandfather is far more brilliant than I am. I excel the most in logical and numerical reasoning. Genius isn’t how they portray it in the media. I didn’t discover my capabilities until I started writing software and academic research later in life. I can execute multi layered logical structures with depth that most can’t keep up with. Everything else about me is fairly normal if you met me though. I don’t talk really fast. I don’t automatically understand everything at lightning speed. I have horrible ADHD so a lot of people assume I’m actually not very bright. I just have a very specific niche and was fortunate enough to discover that and have the opportunity to utilize it.

I've tested pretty high I had it tested in school and it's a long and kind of painful story but the first two times the proctor who was a sort of social worker at the school said he needed me to get a lower score and I said I wasn't going below 110 😂

I got it tested professionally again years later and got a higher score. I'll put it like this: I'm planning on taking it again because I'm a little bit mad im not higher than Alec Baldwin. Even if at this point it's not really measuring intelligence the same way anymore... I kinda don't believe he's a 140

Academically, I'm averagely smart. But if we are talking about creativity, then I might be more smart than average. I mean I got 1st prize and 3rd prize in a district level high school poetry competitions, and I'm working on designing this utopian city with ideal socialist to capitalist transitioning economy, I hope that counts for something.

I've taken two formal IQ tests, got wildly different results: 127 which is considered very bright and borderline gifted (gifted starts at 130), and 109, which is average. I guess that means I'm probably in between those two numbers, so above average but nothing impressive, which feels pretty accurate.

I’ve known PhDs who couldn’t do the simplest of tasks outside of their field. And I’v known high school dropouts who could tear down a car engine to the very last screw and reassemble it without missing even one washer. So what is smart?
I personally can look at any mechanical, electrical (with some exceptions) or pneumatic systems and in a short time figure out how they work (or why they are not working).
How’s my spelling and grammar? It sucks! We all have strengths and weaknesses.

Classification of actual intelligence is the key , there are highly intelligent ( on an academic analysis ) who can barely get though the day , so what exactly is high intelligence? People here I note mostly rate themselves high or extreme, when , the numbers will tell you is simply not possible on the sample size.

And intelligence comes in many variations.

I am smart. I only know because I've been IQ tested. I never found out what IQ I've got because I didn't care. My parents are brilliant and apparently while I am not, I am quite bright too.

Above average but I don't know how above average. From what I've seen of others I definitely have a more nuanced view of the world, most are emotional and binary thinkers. I've taken IQ tests online that correlate pretty close to the real thing.
