Are you afraid of dying alone, lonely and neglected?

Imagine you are 76 years old, sick and in enormous pain, can't get out of bed, can't take care of yourself. Nobody visits you other than your home health aide who comes in a few hours a day to wipe your butt. You are also having financial trouble, struggling to afford to pay rent/food due to the elimination of social security. You aren't even sure if anyone will attend your funeral. On your will, it says you will leave your house to your nephew who had never cared to come to visit you while you are sick. The home heath aide who comes to visit you... doesn't actually care about you and is just there for the money. Your only friend from 20 years ago, comes to visit you once every few months. He is too busy and is consumed by his adult children and grandchildren to be able to come more frequently. Other than that, you can't remember the last time you had a full blown conversation with anyone. You can't remember the last time anyone cared about you. You feel like your life matters to no one. You are losing your memory and handling day to day life is getting increasingly difficult.
