What does this map mean?

Hihi all! Since I've been here on G@G I've seen many entertaining and educational questions using maps and today I decided to join in on all the fun too with my very own map question!!! Yay!!! 🥳

And I'll give the answer in a few days if I don't totally forget which could totally happen since we have a fun and busy weekend planned and there is a chance of alcohol consumption and so who knows when I'll actually remember to get back to actually answering this question.

But anyways, today, I ask, What does this map mean?

Answer: It is illegal to push a moose out of a moving airplane in both Alaska and Maine, though the nature of these laws varies between a specific municipal ordinance and broader state conservation statutes.

Alaska: This prohibition is frequently attributed to a municipal ordinance in Nome, Alaska.

Maine: It is specifically illegal to push a live moose from a moving aircraft.

Why these laws were needed I'm not sure but they are the only 2 states to have it.
