I was born in the Texas shithole. The plains states and Midwest eastward to the Appalachian mountains has always had violent spring and summer super cells that spawn incredible lightning, hail, and tornados. Texass, Oklahomo, Kansass, NB, AR, LA, MS, TN, KY, IL, OH all get pummeled to some degree every year. Cars get ruined by hail. Home roofing gets shredded. Buildings get sucked to the Land Of Oz. Basically their "God" hates the Bible Belt.

According to AME data Texas in 2025 had the most lightning strikes when it comes to states so it’s not you & yes there is more lightning happening.
