If it was the time that an ex-girlfriend said to me, "Why did you cheat on me?" I really had no coherent answer, because I don't think I knew myself. It was just available, and so I just did it. I was, of course, very sorry afterward, mostly that I had been caught, but I was also sorry because I knew it was the end of my relationship with that girlfriend, and I was going to miss her a lot. That is exactly what happened, and not just that, more than once.

Well, couple of reasons. One is the expense of med school. Two is the expense of having to carry insurance a full on doctor has to carry.

I can still have patients. I just treat for normal everyday issues. If there is something that required a prescription or more than minor treatment, the doctor I work for takes care of that.

In a government supported place, 4 year postgraduate medicine here is about $50k USD here (total), and you can defer paying even that. Different world, I guess.
