I have never won the lottery but I've won stuff before.
The best one was one of those big, rear projection TV sets with picture in picture capability in 1984 before flat screens came out. It was worth about $2000 back then. I had it for years.
One time, at a wine tasting event, they had three raffle prizes. I bought an arm's length of tickets for $20.
The crowd applauded when I won the first one. It was a bottle of good wine. When they called my ticket number tor the second one (two bottles of good wine), the crowd was jealous but polite. When my number was called the third time for a nice wooden box with four bottles of expensive Bordeaux) the crowd got kind of ugly. LOL.
That night, because of my lucky streak, my wife suggested that we buy some tickets for the big California lottery. I didn't win.
I have won other smaller things at raffles. And I have won a bit of cash playing Black Jack and slots in casinos. No big bucks, though. I'm not really a gambler.
I have never individually bought a lottery ticket. I have had a few tickets given to me as a Christmas gift, and I have contributed money to a few office pools to purchase tickets when the power ball got enormous, but I have never won jack shit. . . which is why I never buy lottery tickets on my own.
I once won $100 in a McDonalds raffle without even knowing they had a raffle going on. My dad bought Big Macs for everyone in our family and I noticed they had a raffle code attached so I scanned the code and learn I won money. That was a few years ago, and I do not remember whether I won $100 or $200. But McDonalds is very generous with their prizes, I won around a $50 photo book prize at least once, and possibly 2 or 3 times. Every 1-4 trips there, I get enough points for a free breakfast sandwich through their reward system.
I almost never play unless it's one of those times its like 1 billion and everyone is talking about it, but one place I used to work everyone liked to play, I think we each got like $65 once was it

I only will buy ticket in the major jackpots ( which is really stupid honestly ) I've only ever won pathetic prises around the cost of the dam ticket ( Australia) .
Here in Thailand , the people with the least love lottery tickets and there are people everywhere scratching together a living selling these tickets..
In percentage returns , it's the worst and most stupid form a gambling , worst odds , ridiculous odds.
Yet the stupid still line up to loose ( Inc me ) but will only buy online as I'm in wrong country.
I've never played it but I've gotten gifted tickets. My mom gifted me 5 one time and where I work gifted every employee 2 for Christmas one time which was a bit questionable. So combined that's 35 francs spent and I won 10 so I'm negative 25 francs in the lottery tickets I was gifted than if they just gave me the money. My mom is like well they use that money to fund sports programms in Switzerland which is true but whatever. At least in Switzerland only the government is allowed to have a lottery and we don't have gambling ads everywhere which is nice. But it's still a waste of money. I feel like people who do gamble think it's a cute gift because they would like someone to give them free tickets because it's exciting to them but someone who doesn't gamble doesn't feel that way.
I think I won $200 one time. There's a lady who runs the bodega on the ground floor of my building and her brother won $2 million a few years ago.
Yeah, won a second division some years ago, just over $200,000.
I didn't tell anyone except my girlfriend at the time, and she immediately started "spending" it in her head, telling me what she wanted / needed. I told her I was putting it all on my mortgage and she blew up, called me selfish, said I was easily affording my mortgage payments before I won this and how she needed a new car etc... safe to say I broke up with her over this... she begged me to give her a second chance lol
Nope but I used to sell lottery at my local convenience store. One of my regular customers won $1000 on a scratcher once.
Won $5 to $10 on scratch offs. But don't play regularly. It's like buying a cheap pack of smokes. Cheap thrill. Break even at most.
No my family and I don’t have that kind of luck.
we are meant to work for our money. At lease we are doing well.
Won $8,000 once. I got to keep $4500 of it. Ended up blowing it on a vacation.
Many years ago, I won some free lottery tickets, nothing more though.
I have a relative who likes to give Lotto "scratchers" as Christmas gifts. Over the years I've won a total of $30 - a $10 and a $20 prize.
Other than that, I don't play the Lotto. It's essentially a self-imposed tax.
I used to be in an office syndicate, we won a small prize. We decided rather than split the winnings to blow it all on Christmas lunch. lol
I’ve never won more than $11 on the big ticket games. However, i have won nearly $70 on the bar games. The name changes by jurisdiction. California calls it “Hot Spot” and Michigan calls it “Club Keno”, but it’s the exact same game.
I won 3 month ago $500. I just missed one number could have won 2 million
Yeah, I won another lottery ticket scratch off. I won five dollars. That’s about it. Complete waste of time honestly
Sort of yes. I bought a winning ticket and gave it as a gift for Christmas and it was a 10,000 dollar winner.
Oops.🤣
I won a $100 on a ticket that a friend gave me. Other then that never.
Ehh the most I've won off of lottery tickets was maybe 75-100$ nothing crazy.
And I don't even really buy them with the intention of winning anything I kind of just do it for fun and buy a few cheap ones every time I get paid.
I won my honeymoon. It wasn't a lottery, but was a random contest.
I only play when the big prize surpasses $500M. I have won like $74 once.
I’m from Canada so our lotto is a bit different than the states, but I won 200 CAD once, other times nothing more than a toonie or a loonie.
No. Even though people occasionally win, overall, only losers play the lottery.
nope, none...
but not like I really buy lotto tickets or these kind of things, lol
I've won a couple of quid here and there. The biggest win I've ever has was about £10.
Simples...
Ditto
I think I’ve won like $50 on scratchers before but that’s it
I think I’ve won $10 a couple times on the Powerball
Nope. I don't play the lottery.
people down the road from me won a small amount. hugh jackman spends a few hundred a week on it and never won anything.
once I won 50 bucks in a Megabucks ticket.
Small prize - yes... still waiting for the big prize ;)
Played since I was 18 (only 4 years lol) but most I’ve won is £30
I, too, had the honor of a lucky $ 5 win.
Not I, but my father won like $25 once
I don't play in lotteries
Yes, never more than $7
A few small prizes.
I think the most my dad won was like $10
I wouldn't waste my time
20 years ago, we (30 people) won $300
Never ever !!
