What do you think about adults who watch cartoons?

I actually think people who think cartoons are only for children, nerds, or losers tend to be less intelligent and less open to new concepts.

I'm an avid anime watcher and manga reader, long before it became as popular as it is today. When I was in high school people would bully you if they knew you watched it, calling you a nerd and stuff. I was quiet as hell about it back then. I still kinda am unless someone else brings up the topic.

But cartoons/animes can have very mature concepts and plots. They can be more dark and gruesome than shows with real people. They can be extremely romantic and heartwarming.

I find that animes generally tend to hit harder for me than shows with real people because of the plots and concepts.

People who are close minded to them prevent themselves from experiencing a whole different incredible world.

I don't really think about anyone else. But I love classic cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, Daffy Duck, Angry Beavers, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Sylvester and Tweety, Tom and Jerry, etc. Yes I will cast that to my TV on a Saturday morning while I'm scrolling emails.

I wouldn't measure maturity level of a person on hand of someone's preferences to watch cartoons or anime, rather on achievements those people realized with opportunities they had and life choices they made.

I mean it depends on what cartoons they watch. Not all cartoons are for kids. I don't think kids would understand most of the jokes on The Simpsons.

Depends a bit on the cartoon , not all are made for children, but generally nothing wrong with it. I'm watching anime from time to time too.

Cartoons abound. While it would not be irresponsible to allow a child to see Daria, appreciation of the script would not begin until adolescence and many adults watch it.
