Adults watching cartoons OK/ not OK?

Question

Adults watching thinks like Naruto, the simpsons. southpark
all those disney films frozen etc. I think its OK to watch it with kids as a supervising adult. Or cartoon comedies from time to time but if you say miss an episode of your fav cartoon and you get sour I think its too silly.

And all those fan girls/boys of cartoon franchises living their lives for cartoon as a cult following, don`t get me started on them.

Adults can do what they want. There are adult cartoons (Family Guy, American Dad, Simpsons possibly) so why can't they watch cartoons for younger people? I occasionally watch my all time favourite childhood cartoons and it's interesting to see how your humour has changed since you were a child and to see how cleverly written they can be. Also, the newer children cartoons have a refreshed and very clever form of humour that can be appreciated by everyone e. g. Adventure Time. Just because it's been drawn and animated, doesn't mean you can't watch it because you've reached a certain age. You can't NOT watch Disney films either, the new ones are very well written and animated. It's sad to see that you've lost your inner child and imagination.

Well, most anime is not made for kids. If you let a kid watch death note I doubt he'll understand everything. Furthermore, if you watch the movie Shrek for example, you'll see a lot of adult jokes as well. They're just hidden and Disney movies are just for everyone. Those are just amazing movies like the Lion King.
Series like Spongebob or Fairy Odd Parents or something, I'm okay if you watch it. I think it gets a little annoying sometimes, but indeed, who are you to judge. I think if you watch something like that you're not directly childish in my opinion. Just a different area of interest.

I'm a total Disney addict, every Disney movie is awesome and every animated Disney show is amazing. Frozen for example was the shit, Frozen 2 is going to be a even more big movie than Frozen lol I'm never going to grow up, animation rocks!

Voted C, but my life doesn't suck. I grew up watching cartoons and animated movies, and I still enhou watching them. I also own lots of Cartoon T-Shirts a Mickey Mouse wallet, a couple of cartoon baseball caps etc. And I have downloaded the entire collection of old Disney cartoons and TV shows like Ducktales, Chip n Dle Rescure Rangers, Darkwing duck etc. and some other like Tom & Jerry, Batman -The Animated series, Johnny Vravo, Dexter's laboratoty and lots more. Same goes for animated movies. Not too much into anime, though.

I watch it all because I love them and because Im a filmmaker as well and like to study this stuff.
My favourite series both animation and life action is Star Wars the Clone Wars. And most other series I love are animations like Transformers Prime, Legend of Korra, The Last Airbender, Hellsing Ultimate, Dragon Ball.

I love cartoons! Steven Universe is so sweet and earnest and Adventure Time has the best protagonist everyone can look up to with this really dark thread running underneath. And look at the Avatar series! Those are amazing no questions asked.

You have shows like the Simpsons and South Park that are offering a cynical social commentary and then you have other shows that are giving us these beautiful rich storylines with people of every color, body type, and gender and romantic representations. It's so refreshing! Just because these shows are animated or aimed at a different age group doesn't mean we can't enjoy them.

I'm 26 and I still watch Hey Arnold. I just love that show! I record it on DVR so that when I'm free on the weekends and bored at home, I turn it on and relax with a blanket on the couch while eating sandwiches. I don't watch it with kids. When that show is on, I am a kid again :)
