“Random acts of kindness” was a thing for a while. Were you ever on the receiving end of such a thing? If so, what’s the nicest thing a complete stranger ever did for you?
Long before the trend, i was very young. The local high skool opened up the pool for “open swim”. My mother took us once, but i was the only boy. So she showed me the boys’ locker room door and left me to find my own way to the pool. I had never been there before and it was kind of a maze. Plus i was surrounded by complete strangers; probably for the first time in my life. I freaked out and started crying. An older man saw me and helped me to find my way to the pool. My mother was a dick about it, as usual. But i finally got to swim!

Hubby and I was stuck at a rain storm during our summer travel in another country. (China). We had to walk 15 minutes to our hotel. and unable to get a cab. So we ran over to a little service office thinking it was a police station. We saw 4 officers and asked them how to get a cab. One said he would take us back to our hotel (2-3 minutes drive).

We were there 4-5 weeks… there are still a lot we didn’t explore…
We met a nice family from ShenZhen… the hubby is from Inner Mongolia. He invited us to go. I have always dreamt of visiting Inner Mongolia since I was a kid….

But I will tell myself that everything will be okay… I can not help those who do not want to know… and only trust the media.

I ran the Boston Marathon with two other guys. We went to a local restaurant afterwards and a perfect stranger thought it was really cool that we ran the race so he paid for our meal.
