Are gnats more impressive and efficient than humans?

... have specialized brain functions to measure CO2, track heat sources. Superman anyone?

... perceive images much faster than humans... which is why you can't swat them. They are probably laughing at you slow poke humans.

... find mates a lot easier than humans. Tried online dating lately? The gnats just "figure it out".

... females lay 100's of eggs in batches. The top humans only have 12 or so kids.

... all that... with only 100,000 - 200,00 brain neurons.

From an efficiency viewpoint, humans are way over rated.

they die in a week... or a lot less if they run into trouble

you see... if you're talking efficiency, any animal that has offspring in the hundreds or thousands, that is precisely because they are NOT efficient living things

so they go by big numbers to ensure more chances
