I can list the worst more easily.
-- You say stuff before you think. Great for improvisation on a stage play. Worst if people need you to say the exact line.
-- Being trapped alone for 2 weeks makes you draw faces on the walls or coconuts or whatever.
-- You put your head next your pet cat and hope you mentally transfer things. It never works.
I guess the best part is when my wife (introvert) forgot to pack the travelers' checks on our vacation. Then I tell her when she's crying, "No problem. We will make the best of it regardless! Look at this bar there. Looks so fun!"
Lol!!
On a more serious note, it seems to help me with my job in software engineering. I'm dumber than most software engineers, but maybe true to my extroversion, I try shit way more. Try try try. Fail fail fail. But after around 25 failures and profiling everything, I come upon a breakthrough. I think lots of introverts I work with give up after 3 tries, but they spend more time in between each attempt. I keep going 20+ tries. And I react impulsively to each try. "This hotspot means my data structure sucks as multithreading [rewrite whole thing]." So it's like I do stupid faster and that seems to arrive at "smart" sometimes better than "smarter slower".
I personally am a bit of both. And like you I never give up. If I put in my head I want to learn to do something I will keep trying until I manage it and that's why all the things I know how to do I practically self taught myself to do it. So I think perseverance like in your case is a great quality to have.
I noticed before. You seem like a nice one on here. And into dancing before. I am "ENFP" if we put any stock into that stuff. Apparently it's the "most introverted extrovert" or "most extroverted introvert" depending on how you spin it. I just wanna develop telepathy.
Nothing quiet people get passed over. You know the old American expression The Squeakiest wheel Gets the Grease. I have learned from this when I was younger, and I’m totally different now as an older gentleman.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease is an American aphorismor metaphor attesting that matters that draw attention to themselves are more likely to be addressed than those that do not.
I agree to disagree. Not necessarily do introverts not get noticed. I'm often the silent one and I can tell you I get noticed in a crowd for the simple fact that I am silent when others are screaming.
I’ve been there and I’ve seen proof with my own eyes because I’ve experienced it. I kept my mouth quiet and then I was stuck there for hours when my aggressive brother talked than he got out quickly. I was too shy to speak up for myself and I was left behind for a long time. I was a shy teen and then when I got older, I became more talkative and I learned from my older brother and when you coach people up and talk, they will address you and notice you and they will do things for you. The quiet people get over looked and they don’t get the good quality of service or get things done. I’ve experience this before there’s more to it than just sitting in a crowd being noticed yes you can get notice by your looks alone, but I’m talking about being aggressive and talking. not being a mean guy talking but speaking up for yourself getting things done and I learned this from my older brother. Even my brother‘s boss was talking to my brother about the squeakiest wheel gets the grease. This is true. I’ve also seen my shy white friends passed over and it’s sad to see this. They don’t speak up for themselves they just stand there and stand there. They don’t talk and that is something I never do anymore aggressive people get things done by talking, not just by being quiet. This is the same thing in the hospital the quiet shy patients don’t get the proper help and attention compared to the aggressive patients or the people that are with them they talk and they get things done immediately. I’ve seen this before many times. You live and learn and I have learned.
I don’t know why I said white. I don’t know how that got in there. I was using voice command.
I kind of feel like extroverts have it a little easier in life…at least socially. They’re usually the ones who get noticed first, included more, and sometimes even shown more love simply because they’re more outgoing…so people naturally gravitate toward that kind of person a lot of the time.
It comes in handy in a lot of situations involving other people.
I would rather not feel drained by human interactions especially on long days full of them.
They’re more likely to reach their full potential. Introverts might have just as much potential, but sometimes they hold back because they're too shy to put themselves out there.
Being able to piss of any introverts in the area.
