Is it a good sign if a grasshopper or praying mantis lands on you?

A few hours ago, I was on the porch going through some of the dozens of boxes of scam and junk mail my aunt collected the past dozen or so years when either a big grasshopper or a fairly small praying mantis landed on my left elbow!! I haven't even SEEN a grasshopper in several decades and the last time I saw a mantis I was probably about 12 years old! From out of nowhere, it landed on my left elbow and, when I looked to see what it was, I notices it was this huge green bug about 2.5 to 33 inches long! We looked right at each other and I said hello to it and continued my work without bothering the bug. Close to a minute later, it flew off to another cushion to my left and sat there for a few minutes until, eventually, it flew away. I never noticed it left because I was so involved with my work and missing my fiancé so terribly much!!
About 1 to 2 hours later, as I'm still sitting there doing my work, something landed on the right side of my head and then fell off to my right hand! It was another mantis!! As far as I could tell, it was a different one because it looked like it had a bit of brown on its side. I guess it could've been the same one but, I guess I'll never know. It sat on the back of my hand for another minute or so as I continued working after, again, saying, "hello" to it. It flew off and I haven't seen it since.
