My boyfriend is constantly on his cell phone, how can I get more attention?

My boyfriend is constantly on his cell phone. He always checks his Facebook constantly at least every five minutes, and answers to texts while out taking me out for for dinner dates, even when we do fun things together. He recently phones his boss from work, leaving me twice to answer his phone calls and while texting during a hockey game which he brought me to. Talk about being rude. I ask him who he's always texting and never tells me. I'm tired of being ignored, fighting for his attention and second guessing our relationship. How can I get him to pay more attention to me than his cell phone other than having to resort to sex?

I'm known to be a funny, interesting, smart and attractive girl. I don't see why he wouldn't pay attention to me that I deserve. I gently told him that it was becoming a problem and he realized, and apologized.

Do NOT reward him for his bad behavior. If he keeps checking his cell phone during a date, to which you have sex later on, you're only fueling his bad behavior to which he thinks it works on you. (aka I can be a douchebage to my girlfriend and she loves me for it)

Give him the cold shoulder so he understands indirectly that you're not happy with it.

P.S. It doesn't matter that he works for a cell phone company. He can sell phones and do his work during work hours. Not personal time. Dude should stick up for himself and know boundaries. I have a friend who works for T-mobile, and he always spends time cuddling and loving his wife while he's off the clock.

the next time he leaves you for a phone call. if you are on a date or at his place walk away leaving a note. "when we are on a date please turn you're phone off in the future" if he thinks his phone is more important than you he's a fool.

I just want to ask, before you two got together did you talk in person for a while or talk online/through texting? if yes than you can't really complain a whole lot because that's just who he is even though it's a real problem.

Tell him how you feel be angry at him, yell at him if you must...show him how much he is hurting you,show him how he is making you feel. Explain to him what he is doing wrong.

Both of you should mutually agree to turn your phones off when you are on a date, and the rationale is that when you spend time together you are each others' priority and nothing should interfere with that.
