We tried screwing it onto the bottom drawer, and what happened was it just shook and shook until it undid the screwing.
Has anyone ever had a machine do this? And how did you fix it?
Don't panic if your washing machine shakes significantly during the spin cycle; it's a typical problem that may be readily resolved. The shaking is frequently caused by a load imbalance, with clothing accumulating on one side and forcing the machine off balance. To correct this, first pause the cycle and equally distribute the garments in the drum. If the problem persists, check to see if the machine is level on the floor; changing the leveling legs can frequently cure the problem. Furthermore, ensure that the machine's feet are securely placed and not wobbly. Remember to examine the floor for stability as well, since uneven flooring might add to swaying.
There are various actions you may take to troubleshoot and resolve a shaking washing machine. Begin by halting the machine and changing the load to more equally spread the weight. Check that the machine is on a flat surface and, if required, adjust the leveling feet. To reduce vibrations, make sure all four feet are firmly planted on the ground. If the issue persists, check the machine's shock absorbers and springs for wear and tear; they may need to be replaced. Regular machine maintenance and cleaning, including checking for loose components, can also contribute to a more pleasant washing experience.
The shaking of a washing machine during operation is produced mostly by a load imbalance. When clothing pile up on one side of the drum, the weight distribution becomes unequal, causing vibrations and shaking throughout the spin cycle. Furthermore, the machine's leveling and stability are critical in eliminating vibrations. The shaking might be exacerbated if the washing machine's feet are not correctly placed if the floor is uneven. Worn-out shock absorbers or springs, which are meant to absorb vibrations and keep the machine stable during operation, might also contribute to the problem.
A few easy procedures are required to prevent a shaking washing machine. To begin, to minimize uneven weight distribution, always fill the machine with a balanced load of garments. Mixing large and little objects might assist to equally disperse the weight. Make sure the machine is on a firm and level surface, then adjust the leveling feet to balance it. Inspect and replace worn-out shock absorbers or springs on a regular basis. Overloading the washing machine can also strain the motor and produce needless shaking. You may have a smooth and steady washing experience without excessive shaking if you follow these suggestions and perform periodic maintenance.
I actually had one do this. It's because if it's not on a perfectly even surface and you throw in a heavy load it will become of balance and thrash around. Try lightening your loads, especially if it's jeans or towels.
We've tried that. small loads, big loads, and it still shakes severely. Even on the slowest cycle it still shakes like it's plane about to take off.
Hmmm maybe you should call the company it's made by and have them come look at it. If it's new you should have a warranty
Sit on it and enjoy the ride...
but seriously...
Does your washer have different speed settings?
Is you floor level?
Yes, it has speed setting, even on the slowest it shakes. & I doubt it's a problem with the floor leveling because then wouldn't the dryer shake too?
can I watch you sit on it? hahaha
HAhah not meee! She^ will probably sit on it.
IF & I stress IF the machine is level & it is a front load washer the machine should stop & reverse directions until it balances out the load. You may also want to have it one below "maximum extract" I don't know if you noticed when the clothes are washing it should go in one direction, stop, then turn in the opposite direction.
I assume that the store where you purchased it from installed it. Call them to send out a repairman. I personally would ask for a new washer.
It's not balancing the load like it should by going in one direction & then the other until it balances.
i didn't know this. I'll see tomorrow thank you!
I had that same problem and found a solution at this site: link
haha that's pretty cool! How'd they do that :/
I'll take a look!
That's for machines that don't spin! Grr! >:[

is it a top load or front load washer? a lot of the times it will shake cause the clothes are not balanced when its spinning but it could be something mechanical as well
try opening the lid when its shaking so it stops, then rearange the clothes so they are more even.
Front load washer, and it locks while it's working.. so to open it I have to stop it. but then it starts shaking right when the cycle starts again.
it might be the computer inside that is supposed to balance the clothes before it goes into high speed... also are you overloading it? that will definitly make it shake
anyways, this forum is not gonna be very helpful for a problem like yours.. its full of girls and girlie men lol!
HAhahahah you mean human. :[! I'm pretty sure someone has came across this and found the solution!
common now, your a million times better off going on a handyman or fix it yourself forum with a bunch of guys who do this everyday~!
I just did this day before yesterday. just screw the legs on and make them even and it should stop. the legs are the circle things at the bottom it should be four of them.
We tried that, the screws came right off as soon as it started the cycle. It was so crazy.
Pretty much every girl I knew in highschool would die to have a washer that bad lol.
It sounds like it needs to be leveled. check it with a leveler and adjust the legs on the washing machine if needed.
It's usually because its not level. Gotta adjust the feet so its perfectly level in every direction.
Don’t you have warranty call the store up and explain to them if it doesn’t work out over the phone go in person if that doesn’t work out then take it back and get your money back
Get it steady, like either the ground underneath isn't even or its feet ain't of the same height and you need to change that, but only in case of an uneven ground underneath.
Make sure that when you load it the load is evenly distributed.
Mine does that at times. Just means it's like load imbalance or that you have too heavy of a load to wash.
I hope you got a warranty cuase you need to take it back
:o no
You have to call a strong independent man to fix it.
Rub on some spot remover sit on it. =D
hmmmmm
hahahah eh jerk
Balance the load in the tub.
You are overloading washing machine.
balance your load
