Chubby is like.. Fat cheeks and this awww so cuddly baby :D
Fat is pretty much.. Unhealthy. link
Thick is kinda when the whole body is almost same sized and then curvy is when a woman has relatively big breasts and bottom, but a narrow waist.
That's just how I would define these words :D12 Reply
Asker+1 yYeah I see now. How would you define chubby in an older person? That kid is adorable too :)
Opinion Owner+1 yHmm. Fat but nothing "drooping", you know? :D
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yin my opinion chubby means some extra weight, chunky but not fat.
fat means very heavy or overweight and obviously obese.

+1 yI agree with how you view it. Chubby means maybe 15-20 lbs could be lost. Fat means obese.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yTo me:
Chubby is slightly overweight
Fat is heavily overweight / obese.

Problem is most fat people think they "are only a few lbs overweight" when it really isn't the case at all, so they come up with new words like "I'm big boned" (lol totally wanted to put a cartman reference), or they are "curvy" or shame people by saying "men like a real woman".51 Reply- +1 y
This is so true

What’s The Difference Between Chubby And Fat?
Chubby and fat are not the same thing at all. Being chubby indicates that you are carrying excess weight, but this is not always a bad thing. Contrarily, extra bodily fat, or "fat," can cause medical issues.
Chubbiness is frequently inherited. It's possible that you have a slow metabolism or that you are overweight because your parents were overweight. However, lifestyle factors like excessive eating and lack of exercise frequently lead to obesity.
Though it's not necessarily an indicator of ill health, being overweight might be unhealthy. Some obese persons are actually in good health. They might be less prone to developing diabetes than their leaner counterparts, and they might have lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
Of course, having a large frame has its disadvantages. You might feel greater aches and pains and get out of breath more quickly. Additionally, you can be more susceptible to heart disease, strokes, and other illnesses. Consult your doctor if you are worried about your weight. He or she can assist you in determining whether you are thin, fat, or in between.
What Is Considered Chubby?
There is no one size fits all solution for weight. The definition of "chubby" is based on a number of variables, including height, body type, and general health.
Nevertheless, a person is often seen as being chubby if they have 20% or more body fat. This indicates that if your body fat percentage is greater than 30%, you are deemed chubby if you are a woman. The threshold is typically roughly 25% greater for men. These are only generalizations, of course. The truth is that what one person may deem to be chubby may not be deemed to be chubby by another. Furthermore, weight is not necessarily a reliable sign of health, as we are all aware.
So, the best course of action if you're unsure whether you're overweight is to consult your doctor. Based on a number of variables, they can assist you in determining whether your weight is healthy for you.
What Is Considered Fat?
What qualifies as fat? Both men and women have asked this question in large numbers. Although there are many divergent viewpoints, the solution is actually quite straightforward.
Simply said, body fat is excess tissue that is kept in reserve by the body. It is distinct from muscle, the tissue that aids in movement of the body. The body stores fat in many locations and uses it for a variety of functions.
Fat aids in the body's insulation, for starters. This explains why having more body fat makes you feel warmer. Fat also aids in bodily cushioning and organ protection.
How much fat is therefore too much? Given that the answer depends on so many distinct variables, this is a challenging question to answer. The amount of fat that is deemed healthy depends on factors such as age, gender, height, and weight. However, in general, the majority of medical professionals concur that women should not have more than 30% body fat and men should not have more than 25% body fat. These are only broad recommendations, of course. You may have a different optimum body fat level.
Speak with your doctor if you are worried about your body fat percentage. If necessary, they can provide guidance on how to lose weight and assist you in determining whether you are a healthy weight.
Is Chubby Offensive?
The term "chubby" is not offensive. It's totally acceptable to use this word to describe an obese person.
Words that are used to describe them that they perceive to be negatively tend to offend people. But in actuality, words are just that—words. Unless you grant them authority, they are powerless.
Therefore, don't be outraged if the word "chubby" offends you. It's not a major issue. Just a word, really.00 Reply

The ‘900 pound’ people seem to be fat to me.
‘Chubby’ would be, some natural excess from fluctuations, or just poor dieting in the past, and not enough burning it.
Chubby can also be someone who only has a bit of noticeable chonkiness in a specific area of their body and not everywhere, meanwhile, the rest of their body is proportionate, regardless of the size.
‘Fat’ can also just be the actual *substance* that is discussed; the opposite of ‘muscle,’ when talking about the anatomical-tissue structure/ build of a person.
00 ReplyYes. Chubby is just having a slight belly (aka "slightly overweight".)
Fat is being "chubby everywhere" (aka "obese").
