lol :D 8am guy now waking up at 5.30 is really an achievement!
good going mate :P
Is this a bad sign? Or was she just joking it or didn't really mean like that?
"Mate" is the usual way of talking in England, especially London. It's also usual in Australia. If you live in the USA or elsewhere, I think it's not common, but I hear British slang is sometimes used there. It definitely does not mean she wants to mate with you, since "mate" was originally only used among men.
Friend zoned u.. I live in australia and we use the term with our friends and not for potential partners..
but I don't live in Australia, nor the girl. And also she used a :P at the end of the statement... Strange...
lol the p at the end was her being cheeky... tongue stick out
No...it's just one of the many words in the English language (it has nothing to do with how she views u).
means... she is not friendzoning or something right? BEcause there was even a :P after that
Australians say "mate" instead of "man" or "dude". It doesn't mean anything. Even if she isn't Australian, she could be trying to sound cool. It doesn't mean that she can't say it just because she isn't Australian.
It means nothing. Look for other signs, not whether or not she calls you her mate. For now you really are friends, but that doesn't mean you're friend zoned.

How? Girls don't generally use the word here... and why the :P at the end of the statement?
