Why Is This Guy Giving Me Googly Eyes?

So, there's this guy in my calculus II class. He looks at me and smiles and makes it obvious that he is interested. To be honest, I was into him a little too. One day, I wanted find out his name...and other stuff ;) Being the excellent investigator (or stalker, whichever way you see it), I find him on Facebook and I see that he has a girlfriend. I was like "Vat the heck". But I mean I wasn't that into him so I was okay with it. But he still looks and what confuses more is that his friends also sometimes smile and I don't know if it's my imagination but they tell him to "go talk to her" and during one of these time, one of his friends pointed at me and quickly dropped it when he saw that I noticed.

My question: WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WHY IS HE DOING THIS?
