Guy stares and fiddles with his wedding band what does that mean?

Well majoring in psychology this is what I think...Body language men playing with wedding ring like the one said above is a sign of infidelity the partner has in his relationship. So he wants to bang you! And was he twisting his ring upward? Or to the left or right?
not sure. what do they both mean. I know he was turning it a lot and he did move it up a bit I believe. I think he was doing both. he just kept fiddling with it a lot, it wasn't just for a second.
Upward means he doesn't care if he is married or not he wants what he sees! Left to right means he is attracted but he knows he married but is sexually attracted to another woman is trying to figure out if she is worth breaking his marriage bond! Body language is unconscious so body language is the key to reading people!.
he was pulling it up and around. he pulled it up a bit and was twisting it too. kept doing it. and even when he was talking to my friend his eyes were on me. he kept staring at me.
I'm sorry but what kind of cheap psychology are you talking about? YES, the fact that he's playing with his ring MAY have to do with the fact that he likes what he's seeing, however it DOES NOT mean he's cheating or planning to do it, he may be the most faithful guy in the world but he's attracted to another girl (trust me not the only one and it's totally natural). Unconsciously he MAY wish he was not married at that moment, BUT he may still love his wife deeply AND he may NEVER cheat!
Or perhaps this is a crazy assumption, but maybe he was just nervous in the situation? I've know many people who simply rotate and play with their ring as an anxiety coping method. Is that a crazy assumption? Lol The asker must really want this man to immediately assume he want her.
What if he is twisting it right to left and also pulling it downwards, towards the direction of taking it off? In my context he was in a group situation where he and other men were asked if they've even thought about someone from their past and wondered where she is now / what she is up to now.
It means he may have thought you were attractive. I hope you won't try to ruin a marriage though.
i would not do that. I wouldn't take it past a fantasy. I am flattered if he thinks I'm hot if he thinks that because I think he has something about him and I like older men. But I wouldn't take it past being flattered to myself and maybe some solo fantasies. I'm not a homewrecker.

This man is married, but is very attracted to you - You can decide what will happen with him. If your friend is his his wife then he is telling you with the ring playing that she is not important to him, remember that she will have her eye on you from now on -- So if you want to keep her friendship then stay away from this guy - ( He will keep after you no matter what you say to him. ) - If you find that you are with both of them again - Make a reason to leave. --- If your friend is not his wife, then become his friend - spend time with him and see if you like him. You can't control his actions, but you can control your actions. After spending time around this man you can decide what is best for you. He may be married to another girl - but he could be your soulmate, you owe it to yourself to find out. - If you don't really care for him - stay away from him - He will only complicate your life.
When I was married I used to touch my wedding band and fidget with it all the time. I've been divorced almost 4 years and sometimes I find myself thinking I left the band somewhere and looking at my ring finger.
Now, I never just flat stared at a woman and apparently drooled like the guy in your story. My take is he's trying to remind himself of his vow by fidgeting with the band and that he needs to be good, but his lust is saying otherwise and that's why he's staring.
The truth? It means he's just a d**k and would happily bang you if he got the chance... not that you would necessarily mean anything to him afterwards.
It mostly means that his wife means even less.
No one's telling you what to do- but there's nothing to gain from getting entangled with a jerk like that.
Absolutely nothing. It means he was fiddling with his wedding band and staring.
HE. IS. A. CHEATER. HE. DOES. NOT. WANT. TO. BE. MARRIED. That man wish he was never married. I've seen this so many times
Okay--so before getting TOO carried away by how much he wants to bang you (as a number of commenters and saying), what do you look like? And what were you wearing? I'm guessing since you were in a meeting, there's a good chance there was a conference table you were sitting at? In which case I suppose you were only visible above the waist. So of particular visual interest would be your face, and boobs.
I think it means the guy likes you and if had the chance, would take it further. Him playing with the wedding band may be nervous energy or showing you that he may fantasize about you.
He's nervous about his marital relationship. Ask him. Tell him he can talk to you as friends. Don't joke with him though, he could be unstable right now so be gentle.
It seems he's struggling with something in his marriage. Who knows. Maybe you remind him of his wife. Doesn't necessarily mean he wants to cheat or is contemplating it.
Maybe it means you have something strange on your face, and he's bored at a meeting (they tend to be boring sometimes), so he fiddles with his ring. Or it means he wants to fuck you, but he might never act on it.
not sure. i play with my wedding band a lot too. i have no desire to cheat on my wife. it is just something to fiddle with
Just bored. I wore rings before and whenever I'm not interested or losing conversation, I'd spin the ring around. Maybe this is just me though
Well the fingers get fat and it starts to stuck there some day so we are to move it to let the skin breath.
I fidget with my ring when it get uncomfortable. I’m not married but I’m married to my work as saying goes.
He's a married man who is into you. He's contemplainting
Probably nervous. Just like how I always play with my hair when I'm nervous.
I fidget a little and mainly look at one person when speaking in meetings. It's a stress related thing.
Jesus christ whats wrong with you people. I fiddle with my watch a lot, does that mean I'm thinking about the time machine that I'm trying to build?
LOL! Without much knowledge about this guy you are right. It could mean lots of things.
It means he is thinking about his wife and close family. It can also mean 'go away, I am married' (or that's what it means when I do this)
Could be attention deficit. Maybe he just is doing this as a sign of nervous energy having nothing to do with marriage or his ring.
At or through? I can ignore what my eyes are looking at and get lost in thought and people often think I'm staring at them when I'm not.
Same. 😂
It seems that he's just nervous. Guys do that when they're nervous.
Maybe he had to keep reminding himself he was married.
Or it was just a nervous habit.
He's reminding himself about what's important while being unable to control his desires.
His finger is a little itchy/sore from the ring. Don't overthink these things
It means that she cheated on him with a man who has a higher status
Means he is married so women should respect that and leave him be
Sometimes it's when people wear a new ring they do that, recently married?
Well most people play with their wedding bands like that... but in your case maybe he likes you...
I'd like to play poker with him sometime.
Maybe just nervous fiddling.
another reason to not trust a man 😭
People fiddle it's okay
He's contemplating infidelity.
Wow. Men are hoes. That’s crazy and disappointing.
He wants in your pants.
He's nervous.
probably just a tick
Inconclusive.
He's off limits.
Fidget spinner
